It's a shame that these lenses have these things in them because they're in bloody good condition and as i said before they are genuine Lucas. I'm going to have a guess Doc and say that back in the sixties, you as a young fella would have had a hot car that had a sh!t load of mods done to it, noisy exhaust and big wheels plus all the other bits and pieces that seem to attract the attention of the local law enforcers, i know i did when i was in the 17 - 25 yr bracket, took me a long time to work out that paying car fines ( nothing bad of course ) and giving cheek was a total loss of hard earned cash.

Nope the 850 looked pretty stock except for the Castrol Green paint, Cooper grille and stock Cooper S wheels.
The cop just didn't like my lairy parking lights!
