I agree-That really is a high speed incident. The MINI completely clears the barrier and fence.

And the front row of people
It really was scary to see, left me feeling very bad for the rest of the day...

heard about this on the radio, while on our run at Toowoomba today, and was absolutely shocked.. poor spectators, but I must say that's a impressive crash...

hi theres a fair bit of run off and thats a high tyre bundle and even higher fence, I would never imagaine that my MINI would end up there after a crash! ( Yes I do do sptints at QR) I think it was a pure once in a million hit that caused the car to roll like that! If you look, it barley touches the road at each flip!

And...the sand trap is there to trap tyres - not roofs.

Freak accident which means we'll probably see a few changes on that corner in regards to spectating :)

According to the courier mail this morning, jason richards (i think it said) parked his car is a similar spot in 2005, showing that its not such a freak accident, but a repeat. And as for the wall, it's fine if you drive into it, but if your rolling its not really adequate, and the fence, well its there to stop people not cars.

I'll say what everyone else is, so very lucky it wasn't worse

This was not a freak accident, it is entirely predictable. You only have to look at the possibilities of a car going end over end and you can clearly see where a car will land. It is bleeding obvious to anyone that looks hard enough but the CAMS track inspectors seem to miss the obvious.

You're just being unreasonable!

They've got to spend every waking moment making sure that helmets have little holographic stickers and that all the harnesses aren't ten minutes out of date!

Just read in the Sunday Mail it wasn't a freak accident...my error.

Apart from the incident, the day was really great! Our Minis got a few good plug's in the commentary and meeting all the Challenge drivers was just ACE!

Towards the end of the day I started feeling a bit ill so went for a sleep in the back seat of my Mini...only to pull muscles in both my legs trying to scramble out of the car to see the Roulettes and drift utes - mega ouchy today :(

Another one at the same corner today - slid off into the wall - OMG what an impact..

Oh - I got in trouble for filming the Roulettes instead of the drifters.. Ouch

And it was that same one that was involved in the previous day's incident.

And the day before she lost brakes and went off too.

May as well close all the tracks to spectators and only have the film crews there then
