Somewhere in Oz there is one `Am Eye Blue' 1976 Clubby.
It is hydrolastic and fitted with a 998 Minimatic, also has 998 Cooper front discs, with a VH44J booster.
(Long story short- when I bought it from a workmate there was a Clubby GT disc brake front end and a 1310S motor in it. I swapped those into my 1970 MiniMatic to make it GO and STOP).
I put the 998 Matic in the Clubby, drove it for a year then sold it. :P

Ha :D

I knew there weren't any built in Oz, but was just fishing.

I knew your dad would pass on my little cryptic clue.

Thanks for the update.

I'm in no rush - just whenever it is finished.

I agree that it shoud be in Silver if that's the original BL colour, although I can understand Chris doing it in green - probably look quite good with tan interior, but for what the car is I reckon it should be original.

Cheers,
Watto.

I just find it funny that there are quite a few Morris Matics around and heaps of Rover Mini Matics (stupid bloody cars THEY are) but no Clubbie Matics.

now i want to find a factory auto and buy it..!!!

The Morris MiniMatic ceased production sometime in `71 I think, rumour has it a few even got the Clubby doors, but apparently none went into Clubbies here.
Nobody seems to know the MiniMatic production end date, or how many were actually produced.(Watto??)
Mine is a 3/70 and is #YA2S5 1385.
