yup. How much for a pulsar dizzy? Who does the conversions? Whats involved in fitting them? Is it something that is easy for me to do myself?

This is kind of a last straw. I getting sick of points.

Read my long sticky thread at top of mods forum.
http://www.ausmini.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=1498

Not hard to make fit (20 mins) but the advance curve needs mods (see GR).
They used to be $50 at wreckers including coil, are getting scarcer now.
Put a post in wanted forum if you can't find one.

Cheap alternative- add an electronic kit to your existing dizzy.
Going into my 1412-
came from here- http://www.brit-car.co.uk/product.php?x ... &xSec=5497

Also see http://www.simonbbc.com/automotiveshop/ ... cf8bf039b7 for example, there are others.

kits available here from `convertible mini', or Minisport SA.

Saves me buying a laptop to make a Megajolt work.

I reckon the default map that came with the megajolt was far superior to the pulsar anyway, so no need for a laptop if you don't want one :P

When I first put it on, it took me a few weeks to realise that the changes I was making to the ignition map weren't saving, there's a little button in the software to save the settings to the flash memory so they come back after power-off

I had to re-align my trigger wheel and the sensor on Tuesday night, so I made up an ignition map with 10* advance across the whole range, and shot my timing light at the flywheel - a little twiddle of the advance offset and the advance is spot on - such a good system
