Personally, I like lift up door handles. Each to their own though

haha yep i can think of at least one advantage of lift up door handles...
i dont friggin rip em off!
i for some reason can't properly open them, i guess its just coz i been in more modern cars (ie my charade) and it has lift up handles, its just easier to open!
but then again the other ones look nice...
guess its up to you ...
KAZ

well i have no idea LOL the previous owner thought it was either 68 or 69 (thats what i was trying to say (i take to many shortcuts in messages) and i dont know if what i was told regarding its vintage is any good either... it does have the recess around the wipers though, same as the clubby. Is this something specific to the K??, my deluxe doesn't have it. .. if not ,what is the difference in bodies if any??..

they started bringing in the MK2 shell (with the recessed wipers) some time in '67 (correct me if I'm wrong). The deluxe wasn't released with the oval speedo binnacle and temp/oil guages, so shouldn't have the 6 captive nuts on the firewall, only 4 around the speedo keyhole - that's only in theory cos they may have started fitting the K binnacle in later deluxes - I wasn't around then, so I really don't know anything other than my books tell me - the one I'm looking at now has all the modern motor articles in it, the deluxe launch write-up was in the mag in may '65

yes she has the 6 nutz..And I just remembered i have the original boot in my collection of boots, also from a previous previous owner (if that makes sense), and it has the "morris mini 1100" chrome work. looks just like the dark green one early in this thread.
the 998 motor was what the previous prevoius owner had in it and its got 1100 internals, apparently the motor was done properly just b4 he decided to take it off the road to tidy the body.. it also has a 295 head and the remote box, apparently a mild street cam, but no details....and it now has a 40 mm webber on a lynx manifold too..

Bromley is a K. I believe that the car was in a front ender before I purchased it because it was missing the radiator cowl number and had the long morris badge not the K. The paint was also slightly off. Getting a K badge on shortly.

Early 69
Morris handles
Headlights and horn on inidcator stalk(apparantly one or the other are unique to the K???)
Re-spray Aubergine, with a white roof
Complete new interior
New carpet
Peewee exhaust
Drums all round
Oval binnacle
Mini K interior light (apparantly they are unique)

Bromley:

Your stalk should only operate indicators and horn. It does incorporate a high beam flasher and a high beam lock (pull back/push forward) but it's inoperative becuase of the floor dipswitch. Why, who knows, because the floor switch is gay but like we always say, this is BMC.

If yours activates the hi beam its probably just been wired that way. I considered doing that for easy warning of speed cameras and other things but.. meh it wouldnt be original :)

1970 Van (will check build month later)
Deluxe door handles
Sugarcane in colour
Original unmodded engine with original magic wand gearbox
Rubber floor has been long gone, has an agricultural carpet
Unique side windows, which are about 1/4 length at the back (as far as I know, they were put there by the dealer when new)
Original and current rego KRF-925
Purchased by me from the same address it was purchased to when new
Bought new by a carpenter who used it as his work vehicle

Only things I have changed since I got it (other than servicable items) are an electric washer pump (no time to screw around looking for the bottle and a manual pump when I was going through the RWC process) and the drivers seat is from my 850 (drivers seat was stuffed, and because the 850 is off the road at the moment, i'm borrowing the seat).
