Ive done 110 mph down a slight hill at just over 7000 rpm in 4th. Nearly 180. Still sits quite planted on the road. Was nice n smooth though. Not much more left after that i dont think.

I hit 75 MPH down the back straight at Mallala :) before I decided that drum brakes needed a decent amount of track to stop. It's not that they don't pull up ok, its just that when you're on the outside of the track and you hit the brakes and it swerves onto the ripple strip, it takes a bit longer to straighten the car out and stop :).

90 mph on the way up the hill for snowboarding with roof racks on and a board strapped on top. would probably be more when i get it running again soon. had head work a re13 cam and am waiting on my 1.3/4 carb to come. so looking forward to trying to beat it.

i got booked that weekend for 121 in a hundred zone on a sleepy back road between bright and the highway at around midnight. so i might be a bit more careful next time.

cheers steve

95MPH on the straight at Wakefield Pk before I chickened out and braked. I'm hoping for more next time- I've got 50 more cc, bigger ports and a shorter diff now.. 8)

Oh, on the highway? Um... 110, maybe 115KMH downhill.... I'm a law abiding person,

140kph out of Henry on the Moonee Bridge Sydney bound and going downhill. Had the twins on then so would be interesting to see where that wall is(legally of course...). Seemed to be running out of breath about then so who would know.

Sits on 110-120kph all day with the dellorto not a problem - shimmies start at about 125kph but seems to want a lot more with the new carby...

Ive had mine to 100 (on the old scale) down hill. I dont like revving past 6000 in the 1100. still feels slow compared to the autoroutes/stradas/bahns in europe. We were sitting on 180 km/h with cars still flying past us- completely different experience over there. The germans had 100 zones for some roadworks

My speedo doesn't work anymore, but had the beast doing 90MPH right when I first got it!!

Was quite funny - my missus hates speeding and we were running late so we were absolutely HOOTING down the M5 passing everything like they were standing still. She says "you're not speeding are you??" , my response was "the sign says 110 and I'm only doing 90!!" . Took her a couple of minutes to work that one out, but boy was I in trouble when she did!!!!   Not that I would endorse that kind of behaviour.

I'm sure since the speedo has carked it I've been quicker - and the car has a heap left in it, just don't wanna push my luck. I should try and get my speedo fixed before the Eastern Creek Supersprint If I can afford to race - I reckon pit straight at the creek is as good a place as any to max the beast out!

on flat, max is 110. it just wont go any further. serious shakes happening too. but we will see when my motor has been rebuilt and run in...
