I believe this is the same head that Webcon sell and which they claim flow up to 25% more out of the box than a good iron head (as well as being 75 % lighter).

www.webcon.co.uk

Does anyone have any idea how the Pierce heads compare with the Elder 7 ports being developed by GR?

The "as cast" Pierce is a lot better than stock but nowhere near as good as what I've seen of the Elder head.

That said, I've also bought a Pierce castings head from the same bloke as TK (very good to deal with too). It can be improved further with some judicial porting IMHO. Will wait for the dyno.

For those who are interested here are some pics of what comes with the kit!!!
Note that the ports are as cast and could do with some hand finishing.

do mind doing it for all of them?

I can't help thinking that the angle of all of the plug holes means the electrodes end up in different positions within the chamber for each cylinder. Does this mean uneven flame propogation could happen?

Probably not much consequence but it just makes it look haphazard even if they can prove it makes no difference.

Holding my $$ at the moment and thinking of the future with this kind of stuff .....

Don't hold those Aussie dollars too long. It's high at the moment against the greenback. A great time to buy.

I have trial fitted the plugs, but didn't take pics.
The placement of the spark plugs is good, but indexing is important.

that's what I was thinking... seems like the electrode would be very shrouded if it was in the wrong way up
