Even spirited driving through a roundabout can starve the bearings (momentarily) if you don't have one. As for doing track work without one... ask kazjim. :?
He let the oil get a little low once, and ran the big end bearings.. nasty.
They are around $105 or so if bought here, but much cheaper in UK. I've got another one coming.... for my SCCR race box. 8)

If box is in bits for rebuild, they take no time to fit.

std has a big strainer on the end of the pipe, and comes in two peices. a center oil pick up has a pipe that lays along the bottom of the box. YOu will know easily by seeing if there are two bolts holding it into place. Most, not all i believe COP have a single bolt attaching it inside the box. Take a photo if your unsure, easy to tell when you can see it.

JAM's box has standard....I just had a look. I have a feeling the second box I have is fitted with a center pick up. Can't confirm as is at the in laws place. Fingers crossed! :D

Nice work - should get about $90 change out of that $100

Even "normal" road use with a good set of rims/tyres will get that oil light on, irrespective of engine power. A must have IMHO.

Anton it's not hard to make one from 2 stockers, I've got one 1/2 finished you can have for nix.. remind me on Sat.
