You can still buy parts for Kubotas and Massey Fergusons...

Yeah, but I actually stand a chance of being able to fix an A-series tractor when it breaks

Cranks? Pistons? other engine parts?? Try and find some...
These things were OK back then, now they are just antiques with NO parts around...
I guess you could fix the petrol one, it's a Morrie Minor with low comp pistons.

You are right of course, a Fergie TEA20 ran rings round them. But having 9 gears on the Mini one was a novelty.

Here's a better pic I found of one-

I'll hold out for the BINI variant.. with the crap they're producing (*cough*countryman*cough*) it can't be long.

There was a tag on ebay that would have authenticated it and added to it's value.

Not mine but remember some one else talking about these a while ago and didn't they get a mention in the mini Experience Mag?

Issue 17 had the full history, but not complete production numbers.

We had the production numbers listed in a later issue, but I can't remember at the moment and not near the office to check.

My parents used to have a small Leyland tractor on the farm which looked almost identical.

The little Leyland tractor was the 154 and it was basically the same tractor with a different engine - B-series diesel from memory - and slight panel changes (squarer bonnet). The Leyland ones were painted blue, the BMC Mini Tractors painted Nuffield Orange.

Cheers,
Watto
