Motorlab were one of the few places in the late ‘60s that had a dyno (Maxwell was the other). I had a Mk1 Cooper S engine rebuilt by them in 1970 for the then pricely sum of $400. It was a standard 1275 with twin SUs and pulled 106 mph on a trip to Melbourne.
So yes Motorlab do know a bit about Minis.

Tom sure knew how to tune Minis. And I used to love watching him adjusting tappets whilst the engine was idling. The only proper way to do it, he told me.

motorlab is still an old fashioned garage, they have a fuel pump attendant that will fill your car, check your oil and tyre pressures etc.

like back when service actually meant something.

Probably should let someone who knows a lot more about it say, but Adrian did mention a couple of Hotbricks meetings ago that he was closing and yes it was real estate related. It's a prime location.

Also another Mini friendly business to add is Dave Armstrong Motors. It's my closest Mini friendly Mechanic (that I know of).

have a panadol and sit down. now breathe. in through the nose, out through the mouth.
have you calmed down yet?
think about how many old minis there are used as daily drivers nowdays. sweet FA.
next think about what needs replacing in minis that only get driven once a month. not much.
then think about how many mini shops there are in adelaide, proberbly too many for the amount of people with minis.
think about the owners of the prime land he is on that need to make a living too.
next if we all supported adrian then the theif on the hill or mini king or newports would be out of buisness.
you deserve a medal for typing before you think.
