its all in the original passport to service booklet that came with the cars from new ,those times quouted in my experiance would be ok on a newish car as per factory but on an old car thats been messed with wrong or missing parts  those repair times could as much as double :o in some cases with all the mucking about you have to go through to get it right ,hope this helps :o

Couldn't have said it better myself. I recently swapped my hydro displacer's from front to rear and one of the fronts took me about 45min to 1 hour to remove from the subby. This displacer had never been removed before and was well and truely stuck in. Back in the day I wouldn't think it would be stuck in like that.

I spoke to the local bloke I get parts off of and he says many people don't realise that sometimes jobs on old cars can take longer than expected due to nuts/bolts being rusted in etc. Not really a worry when you are doing it yourself though.

FYI this guy wants this information to bully a good honest mini mechanic whom he doesn't want to pay for work done... :?

I witnessed a very ugly scene yesterday where this guy brought police to a workshop and made all sorts of threats to try and intimidate said mini mechanic into giving his car back without him paying his bill.

But i will play ball and mention that a BMC list of these things is hardly an accurate reflection for all items. I know myself that many modern parts (from china) don't fit the cars properly and need extra time to install.
