are you sure the engine is actually getting hot. The sender unit in mine said mine was hot, but it wasnt.
I chucked it out and put a temp guage in

and got the radiator professionally cleaned

The only true way to know the temp in a car is either to use a thermocouple or a capilliary gauge. Electric gauges are only approximately correct some of the time. They are better than a light but not much.

1st degree burns = too cold
3rd or 4th degree burns = too hot
2nd degree burns = juuuuuuustttt right..
