Not sure about NSW but there are similar events all around Australia.
Classic Adelaide, Classic Perth, Classic Noosa (only run once so far) are the ones I know of. These events are a bit more low key (and cost less) and they usually exclude the newer higher powered rocket ships aka WRX, Evo's etc. Mini's do well in these "Classic" events, my green Mini with my Dad driving scored 3rd outright in the WA event a few years go and he has had several class wins / places at all of these events.
