Wow! Your flying through it! Wish I could make some progress on my MS project, unfortunatly still waiting for stuff from DIYautotune (Evil christmas stuffing up the post!)

Out of curosity, where are you mounting the MS2? I mounted mine under the passenger side of the dash shelf, but not really happy with it there. Are you running the wiring though the heater duct hole where the relay board is mounted?

Sorry for all the Q's, just trying to work out the best places for everything. Its funny how much space small components like relays and fuse boxes seem to take up in a Mini engine bay!

Andrew, I'm going to mount MS2 under the dash on the drivers side. I have some spacers/standoffs that I'll use. Don't laugh but I think I'll use Velcro to hold the Wideband to the MS2, as space is at a premium under there. Can't do on passengers side as have stereo (not that I can hear it when driving!).

You just reminded me, I forgot to get grommets for the hole I have to drill. Still not sure where though, I'll now tomorrow... so stay tuned for day 6's installment!

I'll be interested to see where you mount it on the drivers side, had trouble working out a way to fit it over there without it standing out.

I've got a techedge wideband living under the passenger seat, floating around! So velcro has to be better than that!

You've got me worried now... I'll be tossing and turning all night long now! :?

Just finished all of the connectors. Yeah, cup of tea time. 8)

No there is not much room, but for what I wanted it worked out well. 8)

Hi all, have added yesterdays (Day 7) effort again, as it mysteriously disappeared, to begin post.

Hi all, have added yesterdays and today's (Day 7 & 8) to beginning of post.

Sorry if it's a bit geeky/techo but some of the problems I experienced and resolved might help others who venture down this route.

By the way it is now running, only done 20-30Kms but it is purring like a kitten. Mick gave it his seal of approval, and also gave me a old battery to replace my newish (18mths or so) battery that just can't hold a charge for more than 20 mins! Thanks Mick. :D

Good on ya Jim. Well done mate!!

Now you can get out and enjoy the car for a bit before you knuckle down into the next phase.

Interesting that they still use 232. They should be moving with the times and going USB.......

Thanks. The very latest MS III, has USB as well as SD card logging. I will use my RS-232 to Bluetooth adapter now that I have it going. The MS III board can be retro fitted to a MS II.

What an unexpected difference the new ignition has made to the performance and 'feel" of the car. It starts easier, seems to have more low down torque and revs more freely. I'm only using a best guess map until I can get some on the road time to tune it a little better.

I had the same feeling the first time I started mine up with the megajolt, everything just worked better - and that was after having a pulsar dizzy

I heard this beaut little machine yesterday. It idles like a modern car, no hunting, misses, coughs, splutters or anything. Just a super steady even beat.

I loves it.
