The four 44 gallon drums offer just under 800 litres of volume, so I like that idea. Put a fifth across the "bow" (aka the heavy end) and away you go...if not properly moored. Some old truck tire inner tubes would keep the drums from banging on the Mini.

Hope we don't need this fix next year...now only a few hours away!

Thinking of everyone affected by the flooding. Looks to be a very serious situation in quite a number of areas. Wishing all the best in overcoming nature's rampage.

We have a little sub freezing weather at the moment, but no snow since mid-November and despite all of our annual winter rains, and sometimes big snow packs, the last major floods in the Lower Fraser Valley were 60 years ago. Fortunately the diking has been well built and well maintained over time.
