My first clubman was N.V Green. I loved that color. Only ever seen 2 other minis that color though.

According to a magazine story the most common colour from the factory was white.
It is usually the way, most people don't notice the white ones and think that the bright colours are the most popular ones.

Plum Loco. This car has been repainted, but it is the original colour and from what I could see it was a good match.

Are we only talking Clubman colours, or any Leyland Mini, as there are some much later than 1973 colours mentioned.

I'll go out on a limb and assume its all Leyland Minis - so, how about Silver Blue metallic (Mini LS) and Omega Navy metallic or Nutmeg metallic (Mini SS), Hi-Ho Silver, Iridium metallic, Brooklands Green, Squadron Blue, Oceanea Green Metallic, Bitter Apricot, Blaze, Viareggio Blue, Corinthian Blue, Cassino Blue. I have seen Minis in all these colours, but there were others, which may or may not have been available on Minis.

Then of course there is black, but I reckon the most common colour would have been white - although the white changes from year to year - Crystal White, Snow White, Blue Toned White.

Cheers,
Watto.
