Black Sika is magic stuff, I would definately use it as it is used to hold fibreglass panels to bus chassis and also hold the windscreens in too.

It doesn't smell nasty like Quik Grip either.

On a slightly odd note the rear rubbers are really important on a Mini, because the rear is almost flat you get a nasty low pressure zone that will see exhaust gas entering the car.
Normal cars have a flap valve that keeps a slight positive pressure in the cabin if the vents are open but if the fan is off or the ventilation is on recirc the flap shuts which stops you slowly getting dumb, or dead.

yep I noticed that early. not all my rubbers were gone. So I'v been using pieces of hose for the time being
