Out of curiosity, why do you want the original wheel? Is this just for originality?

A smaller wheel is much easier to use, and if you're quite tall like me, a smaller wheel is really an essential item.

my 2 cents on that...

I'm 6'4", and I will only use the big wheel in my car... I drive it every day, and compete once a month

occasionally I drive a car with a little wheel, and it's just yuck - so much extra muscle required, and I can't relax and just hold the bottom of the wheel while cruising along

Agree 100% I love the big "bus" std wheels, so nice during cruise and carparks are easy too!

Little sports wheels make it too "twichy"

cheers

Jacob

For originality; gotta have the big one.
But I love the small ones because it is much easier to get in and out(I have classic Cobra seats) about needing extra muscles; well I have power steering lol.

Nice Car Bruno. At least it has the steering wheel on the correct side too ! I do have one of those steering wheels here but I am keeping it just in Case I ever get to do my 71 Min K. If I ever decide any other way I will send you a PM. I always seem to get side tracked doing other projects. I wish I could keep priorities correct on which car to do first. These Minis keep following me home...

Thanks.
When I first bought the car I thought having the wheel on the right side would be a problem but after a few days, I got used to it.
Many Americans make the change over to LHD but I believe it takes away from the "soul" of the car.
There are a few drawbacks such as trying to pull out of a parking spot on the street, making left hand turns against on coming traffic and the ever popular entering the car via the passenger side when you're the driver  .

Love the bus wheel!

So much easier to throw the mini into hard corners with my puny muscles..

you might find the hardest part is getting a wheel with the BMC in the centre of the rubber pad (as per your photo), instead of the Leyland logo
