This Mini Belonged to a friend of mine and I had mentioned it for sale on here before. It has been bought by the present owner to help the previous girl that owned it with her finances. She spent Big Bucks on this car. I drove it. nIt is definitely worth the money they are asking for it. And yes the brake Booster is behind the dash. Last time I saw the car it had no door trims as the Girl had no money left to finish it.

I have a couple of hidden brake boosters. I can't find them, they are in the shed somewhere.

The old rally car I had has the booster there (now Mini Mulisha's beast). It fits in the lower dash rail hole.

when you lower a mini enough the distance between the steering rack and tie rod end needs to be further apart to the tie rod ends are screwed further out and in doing so the amount of thread left holding the end on is less than required and more prone to breaking. So fitting longer rack ends or longer rod ends alows the end to stay on with maximum thread contacts.

Hope that makes sence lol :)

I like the no expense spared but it's running sf-226 bridgestones. If that motor is exactly as described it would be a handfull to drive.

The Doc was trying to convince me to put the brake booster UNDER the dash on the passenger side in order to give room for a fresh air heater in the engine bay. Gave up on the heater idea so installed it in the normal place. But in looking at ways of getting it out of the engine bay I found a few installed in the boot.

I thinks it's a good idea if the booster I'd covered, if now it just looks stupid

In saying that, i have seen a picture somewhere a long time ago where somebody installed the booster under the r/h guard.

The PBR boosters really need to be installed in a fairly clean location. The air-valve on the bottom of the booster should be kept out of road spray.
PBR used to make a remote breather kit for their larger boosters to keep the crap out of the air-valve.
I would not mount one under an inner guard for that reason.

Booster under dash was a fairly common mod for the works rally cars..

Cheers, Ian
