I'm glad to hear you're okay. We passed a bloke dying in his Ford Falcon wagon today, just south of Christchurch. He'd somehow ploughed off the road into a tin shed which then caught fire. Plenty of other people had stopped to try and help, so we kept driving to keep the road clear.

thanks for allthe support.

i now have two minis to move out of the desert.

now out of hospital. no broken bones. not a scratch. bruised right shoulder. torn some tendens. bruise on my back. showed the doc the pics. im one lucky lucky boy.

and yes they were real fireworks. it was territory day the day before. nice loud earthquake canons.

give me a few days to organise my belongings and ill post some pics online and we shall hear the oooo and aaa. i think youll be pleasantly surprised i walked away. i look back at the photos and im gobsmacked.

medical update. i hurt. ouch.

and i still cant believe how lucky i actually am. dirt roads are dangerous. even with alot of experience. roll cage if anyone wants to follow in my footsteps.

There was a bit in today's paper about this incident Angusdog. Apparently the woman driver died at the wheel before she crashed off the road.

Well , thats one problem I can't fix with a few phone calls , all the best on your recovery and getting some wheels back on the road
