Easiest way I have found is to use an old container that the oil comes in (5 litre). Cut the front out with a stanley knife, and then place it on its back under the car. If you cut on the front and not the sides, it will stop the oil sloshing out when you drag the container from under the car. Most oil containers fit under the sump plug without even jacking up the car. When finished the oil can be drained into another container by undoing the lid.
