well i got a blue slip with my new motor WITHOUT pollution gear
on a car that requires it from a tough blue slip place. so yeah.

yeh. my LS went over the pits in Perth a fortnight ago. It had the pollution gear on it, minsu the air pump, but they didnt seem too bothered if it existed or not! There is hope for sure. Actually i was told those pumps do mroe pollution then good, i mean the pump requires the engine to work alot harder (theoritcally) and hence creating more pollution to begin with!.... i can see the sense in that!
