Again I have another legality question, and that is, can you put non stock braided lines on your mini?

Cheers, Sam

As long as they have a tag showing that they comply.

Is that from an engineer or like an ADR tag on the item from the manufacturer?

How soon do you need the pipe made up?
I will be doing mine in the coming weeks.
I can make two while I am at it.

Hey guys,

I also need new lines for mine, the only lines in there currently are the rear (there is a pipe coming from the rear and into the engine bay on the drivers side).

I don’t recall where they go, can someone confirm where they should run?

I think there is a connector (three way I think) on the line coming from the rear.

I’m guessing (big guess), the connector joins the line from the rear, the line from the master cylinder and also to a line (I need to buy/make) that should run towards the driver side front brake? Does it then split to the rubber hose to the brake and another line to the passengers front brake?

Is this correct? And where does the line run along? the subframe?

As always, thanks very much for your help!!

Cheers
Mark

This is for single circuit cars (up to 76 - early 77 model)

The 'T' in the rear subframe is actually the rear pressure limiting valve as well as a T to each rear wheel.

The pipe from one side to the other in the front subrames, runs on top, but in mid-air (not cliped) on each side rail, but has two clips holding it inside the front rail.

There is a Brass T piece just below the Master Cylinder, that connects the front and rears to the system

Awesome, thanks for providing the diagram and describing clip points!

Sorry just one more confirmation, so the only points the lines are attached (to body or frame) is the inside rail of the subframe, at the connection with rubber hose? Is it attached to the firewall in anyway at the three way connector?

Thanks again, (I owe many of you guys a beer or two, if you’re ever in the Shellharbour area)

Sorry, the pipe that runs front to rear, under the floor, is also 'clipped' in but in this case it is tabs that are welded to the body that are folded over it. There is also one up the font toe board on the body just below the top of the rear rail, just out of sight in fact.

Also, there is another single welded 'clip' in the front rail of the rear subframe, just to the left of the middle of it.

All other pipes are 'floating' ie, not clipped in, only held in place by the tube nuts on the ends.

There's also some info here if you're thinking of making any pipes;-

And, your most welcome :D
