Moral of story- price stuff here first, before you go importing...

I'd probably buy more from Karcraft if they had a decent e-commerce website, as it is, I can do a heck of a lot of web surfing at work without anyone noticing, but cannot spend the same time on the phone talking about mini parts and prices, thus, most of my orders go places where i can order silently!

And if they were open on Saturdays... !

Website yeh... not too crash hot, BUT get them to send you an updated version of their pricelist, call up, and shop away... very dangerous doing it like that...

I agree, their online ordering system is very lacking.
And picking up the phone just isn't viable these days, especially if we get brushed off as willy has here.

Cheers,
Tyson.

Here here for the one about using the phone for personal calls at work!! Without a decent web site and with a huge list of parts I need to complete my car, I can't imaging spending ages on the phone asking the guy "do you have one of these, how about one of those, no?, what about a red one?"

Karcraft needs to set up a decent web site and I'll be more than happy to buy from them.

Again, get a price list emailed to you. Easy.

+1 for mattsmadmini. They emailed me the pricelist which is extraordinary easy to use. Just quote the part number on the phone.

I've found Karkraft great. They told me to always email them before I buy to check if they can beat the price. I've followed their advice and they usually put forward a pretty competitive offer. I'll usually get an email back within a couple of minutes too.

If you can surf silently, then you should be able to email silently too.

Good to hear, all too often these days places have websites and contact email addresses and never respond. I sent a couple of emails to the 2 wiring loom places that people on here have recommended at times, one took a few days to get back to me, the other... well i'm still waiting and that was about 8 weeks ago.

If you're not gonna check or respond to your emails, whyt bother having an email address?

Crickey,,, it`s sounding like some people want their bums wiped for them

do you want to be tucked into bed & told a bedtime story too,,, how`s about breakfast in bed after you have awoken from your slumber,,, maybe a good wash & dry down & be dressed for you as well??? a lift to school while we`re at it too yeah?

if you want a part, it`s not that difficult,,, ring or e-mail & ask

if they don`t have it (as in this particular case) then they`ll say that & direct you to the place that does

just like in this particular case

i really can`t see a problem here

all i can see happening here is that this thread is now a Damn good advert for Karcraft

pretty smart marketing, hey willy are you sure you`re not on their payroll :-)

i buy from many different companys, one of them is Karcraft,,, top guys, known them forever,,, they know their stuff & their service is perfect

if you want to attempt to buy fruit & vegs from the Butcher shop,,, then maybe next time ring up bunnings,,, or K-mart,,, or ,,, :-)

i don`t sell GR`s pistons either,,, so i know for damn straight that i`d say exactly the same thing as Karcraft did,,, sorry but

crickey

what do you mean by this??? :-) well,,, it`s a school day tomorow,,, time for you bedtime story boys & girls

I think I've got some roneoed price lists from Karcraft that must be 30 years old.... probably older ..

HOW long have they been in business??? Must be doing something right.
They always were bread and butter - or rather hard core nuts and bolts kinds of guys - don't bother if you're after a chrome plated dipstick holder...

Cheers, Ian
