Slightly OT: I'm curious, has anyone fitted this to a twinky? It would seem an obvious candidate for this conversion, just wondering if it would all fit, what with the carbs etc out front.

I've not done it, but there is no reason (with Hyundai coils) that the coils have to sit under the carbs. They can go anywhere- firewall, inner guard, etc. Just lengthen the H/T leads.

MJ all the way... never misses a beat.
I got mine then the rest from the wrecker for like $50 the lot (plus MJ of course)

I might have mine for sale very soon though - secret squirrel business going on here but might have the whole setup for grabs soon.

Any tips for making the changover easier later with the engine in-situ?

I did mine in 2 stages - modified the standard HB to take the trigger wheel, made the bracket etc. one weekend, then drove it around with that stuff installed but running the distributor, then did the electrics another weekend

Certainly easier to do the HB when the engine is out - or at least work out what needs to be done

Thanks Simon, I've sent Ben a message & hopefully he has a trigger wheel in stock. I will fire it up with the old 23D dizzy first, but then hook up the MJ once it's run in & on the dyno.

My engine mount has already been modified to allow a HB change with the engine in the car (no radiator support), but having done that before :x it's so much easier to do while it's sitting on the engine stand.
