$25,000 please. It's a classic, you don't see many like these any more. The previous owner said it might be a police pursuit Cooper.

Have you guys ever considered that he may not be a "know it all" regarding minis and what if numbers are recorded, they can disappear in a flash. Its the mini body thats for sale here and there appears to be no lack of interest in acquiring it.

If you don't know what it is, you shouldn't try to sell it for anything more than what you're sure of.

As has been mentioned, at around $500, this bare shell could be good value. If his reserve is much higher than that then he is obviously looking for genuine Cooper prices - which is dishonest because he is making a statement which is untrue.

I think the point Morris and I are making is that when people put these ads up making grandiose statements even if they are doing it with the best of intentions they should be told if they're making a false claim so that they can rectify it; if they're honest, I'm sure they'll be glad to be given the correct information.

that's reasonable... would have been nice if he'd added your question & his response to the listing

I'd hope that anyone willing to buy a bare cooper s shell with no ID plate would know enough about them to know this one isn't real

I think it'll sell for what it's worth as a nice straight shell

As a complete diversion, a couple of years ago a friend and I saw a bloke sitting in traffic in London in a black Porsche 911 convertible, talking on his phone.

He was one of those guys who you know wanted people to look at him but he was a real douchebag.

What he was seemingly oblivious to was the fact that someone had written in big, red letters (lipstick, we think) on the side of his car was, ahem, well rhymes with blunt...
