Cheeky buggers... . Not the only chain of shops to do this either....

Anyone here work in the ACCC?

You need solid proof of the price changes for the ACCC to do anything. They will take action but they need evidence to act on.

Yeah, very cheeky, but they have covered themselves in their advertising e.g. "Supercheap Auto reserves the right to limit purchases to normal retail quantities. All savings stated are off the full retail price. Sale ends 02/01/2012 or until sold out. Store stock only, while stock lasts"

Moral of story- never bother with SCA when they have a `sale' on.
It is cheaper 1 week before, or 1 week after.
The only real bargains really are their `specials' to get you into the store between sales (like the $1 a can degreaser I mentioned before).

Thanks for the flyer!
I will get a dozen cans of degreaser as long as they don't bump the price up before they mark it down.

last week I got ten for $1 each, today they were $2.15(normal price).
I also got a tube flaring tool, oil filter remover and replaced a 1/2"-3/8 adaptor I lost a week ago :D .
