I have no idea how it was done and at what efficiency cost but I did see a Bankstown car with flames etched into the rotors.

I know it was a Bankstown car because it had the flames etched in !!!!

just like all the Hyundai Excels where the owners have painted those pissy little drums some stupid colour and fitted pointlessly big wheels - they're drum brakes, don't show them off!! hide them!! :roll:

probably not a lot different to grooved rotors, but you wouldn't exactly use them on a race car would you...

the laser cutter we use can put writing or other patterns in the surface of parts as they cut them out. I think all they do is focus the laser on the surface and turn the gas supply off. Comes out quite nicely - wouldn't last long on brake rotors though
