Was there any welding done just prior to ign light fiasco?

I have killed 2 alt welding exhaust with batt disconnected.

Just a thought.

As Dr mini said dead diodes = no charge and battery drain.

New alternator, no pulsing red light. Nice crisp note to proceedings again too.
