Technically you can chrome alloy, but why bother.. just Bling it!
While it's running the manifold will be cold, due to latent heat of vapourisation of the incoming fuel charge.. the idea of making it shiny is so it's less inclined to absorb heat. Mine is shiny, welll sort of... :lol:

The black steel Maniflow ones DO need some chrome, or at least silver or chrome paint, IMO.

Ask Mike what he thinks of chrome timing covers- he couldn't keep an oil seal in it. :x Was so shiny, it just slimed out of the hole, into the timing chain.. sealer or no sealer.

Yeah that would work on some manifolds.
When Barney gets his twin HS4s next week they'll have Bling! S/S heatshields.. I brung 'em in from UK. :wink:
