I'd go 10x5 Minators, they are similar offset to your std offset Contessas. Contessas are also all 10x5 although there are 2 offsets- std, and LS..

but does it matter how wide i go?
the 13's looked nice but it was a poo poo ride! even for a rover.

Yes it does... The wider the wheel generally speaking the worser they will handle.

Wrong carter gt the skinnier the tyre the WORSE they handle! The more rubber on the road the better you do not see race cars with skinny tyres...

It might tramline on the grooves in the road but a wider tyre will give you much better grip. Grip = handling.

Don't go over 10". It's pointless.

Handling and grip are totally different things.
Handling is all about feel and feedback. Grip is just grip. I had an Audi A4 that had unlimited grip but absolutely no feedback.

I just ordered 10x5 minilites in silver and they don't have stock.
I tried looking for minators on midland wheels but they don't stock them:/

Midlands will have miniators or minilites or something..
Look through the entire range, there aren't that many.

I looked through all of them.
I just ended up getting black minilites.

The wider the wheel the more prone to tracking the car will be and on Sydney roads that would soon be a pain in the arse. On the other hand if you wanted a car that’s easy to drive you'd get a Falcadore with a slushbox

haha driving up princess highway from Blakehurst to Newtown on 13x7 was shocking!

Try driving Adelaide to Hay (and return!) on 13x7s with 2.5* negative camber.

Hold on... THE WHOLE WAY

If you put 10 inch wide wheels on then there is a big difference in feel but from 10x5 to 10x6 the difference is minimal if not better from 10x6's.. I'd be thinking about tyre choice before I blamed a rim in that situation. They don't track either

it is the weight and offset of the wheel that effect the handling .. 13*7 superlights weigh heaps and stick out a mile ..

drive a mini with 13*5.5 wheels compleate different animal ..

i have original 10*6 mambas and the car does everything you want it too ...

It's a shame we can't actually see a single wheel, which was the focus of this thread.
