I didn't read the article but did read the comments. It would seem that the original photo used was one that had been overused by fairfax for anything to do with cheating and the author was called to task on it.

She then substituted the photo of the Mini for the original.

A '68 Fairlane to be precise. Same here...... Still married to the same girl after all these years :P
I must say the Fairlane was an old car when I was driving it around and
the front bench seat was just the ticket ......

Unlike the back seat of a VF Valiant, that is friggin' useless! Took dad's to the drive-in once, and struck out.

Oh I dont know !!!!

The VT commodore has a large roomy boot and a fold down hatch door in the back seat leading to the boot - its big enough for a full stretch out and you are mostly out of sight for passerbys

But conscious of the fact that you are laying on dodgy half-assed suspension...with little or no sound deadening :!:

Watch out for cars with the battery under the back seat. A mate of mine started a fire in the back seat of Citroen. He had trouble explaining that to his Mum.

I was chatting to a mechanic friend
A girl brought her BINI in with a broken passenger seat.

She said she was "looking for her phone and broke it"
The backrest was snapped off the base

It was fixed and the car came back another time, this time her father brought it in with the same story.
