don't know how this will go on here but here goes, Had a disscussion with a man at the throttle shop and asked him what is the car registered as (ie what's on the rego papers)
I was informed that the owner has been far too busy to refit the compliance plate to vehicle and it would be done later. I did say (But the owner had time to drop it off it at you guys) conversation then went down hill.
I do not claim to know much, but I would suggest if you were to buy this do your homework!!!

I think I saw the same car advertised in the Newcastle area with a different paintjob a few years ago for $12k. It was in Just Cars magazine.

that would be correct, a fellow from Singleton owned it and it had a KG engineering 5 speed box fitted in it

Was it white originally, when the bloke in Singleton owned it ?

Sorry Goodie, but you may be backing a winner there

It is the one from Newcastle/Maitland I recognize that rear bumper and tail lamps.
I spoke to the owner at PITS during a Mini run.
No Ian it is not one of the Church Farm ones. This PO (a TAFE teacher) built it himself.

Thank you, the best thing the owner could do is remove it from sale and save the legal costs. (throttle shop included)

I believe the "Church Farm" ones were actually "Church Green". They were all steel and had luxury of luxuries, an opening boot. I saw them in Miniworld around the end of last century.

It really boggles my mind that the Throttle Shop manages to sell any cars at all. Even rich people do their homework these days. If you piss someone off with lots of money they generally have lots of money to fight you in court too.

Cheers,

Here's a link to a page about the Church Green GTO. They aren't quite all steel, the bootlid is aluminium.

When the person that "commissioned it went to sell it in about 93-94 he was after $12g for it you could've bought a mint S for that so he ended up trading it on a toyota van to carry camera gear he got $6g trade-in I was spewing I would've bought it in a flash

Just wanting to know, can you not believe what people in the local town have to say? Or have I misunderstood?

I was just down there, the car is finished very very nicely but it's not a great copy, as mentioned it's the wrong shape, it looks funny when you look at it side on.
