Really appreciate the help guys! convertible mini I have a lot of respect for someone that can put up with these kinds of issues every day!!
I think the cars in good hands, he has a great deal of experience with minis, he was just interested in what system it was I had installed. I will be checking in with him tomorrow about all the above info.

Will let you know the answer for future reference.
