my neighbour (another mini owner) and i started an 1100 on the floor once. We had just finised building it and it was about 10:30pm, but we couldn't wait till the morning. We stuck an old exauhst on it, but it didnt really keep the noise down. I dont think my parents were happy as we started it right next to their bedroom. HAHAHA.

its a fun experience.

Cheers Ryan

I start any `goer' motors I have on the floor every 4-6 months. Run `em for a couple of minutes without water, it doesn't hurt.

They don't walk far unless you rev it. Exhaust system? Nah... a bit of sheet metal on the floor so it don't burn the concrete works fine. :D

BTW, Anton we won't `time the RE-13 cam in' untill the box and motor have been reattached to each other... but the engine front plate MUST be on the block before you fit the box.

Our Dr Mini down here has a good set-up to do this.....

it includes an Oil Pressure Gauge for those rebuilds where you have primed the pump but it dosen't come up to pressure for another reason....saves the bearings :D

Lets start a guessing competition - I reckon it will be a Cooper S green engine and I reckon I could guess where the paint is coming from. :D

I am staying true to my word and continuing to work on my small block each and every night.

I am going to post pics of the progress (when I get new batteries for my cam) as I myself am amazed at the work I have done! 8)

This motor is freakin BLING CENTRAL - without chrome!!

EVERYTHING is painted and colour coordinated.

I am scared to drive it when it's finished.....
