shapeways have a new stainless printing service that polishes the ridges out, but realllly expensive

I'd do what meeni said, put it together with jb weld and rechrome. That stuff is amazing

Whats JB weld?

As i said the reason i ask is that i want a badge that you cannot buy! So what to kill some old badges and make one up.. i know rechroming will be needed but thats fine

2 part epoxy stuff - supercrap has it, don't buy the kneadable one, buy the one in two tubes, it's runny when mixed and then sets really hard

rough up, then clean the ends of your badge parts, then make a little cardboard mould to hold them where you want and contain the epoxy, then pour your mixed epoxy in. Wait a day and remove and then file/dremel/sand it to shape

that's how I'd do it..

$50 per hour if you want me to do it for you :P

JB weld is a filled epoxy. Imagine Araldite with metal powder in it...
