What's the green box "welded" to the drivers side inner guard?

It's a fuse/ relay/ electrical box... I have a photo to upload. I just need to get to a PC to do it tomorrow.

There is a flat colour coded steel cover that goes over the front of it to protect its contents, then a custom built air box with filter bolts to the side of that, which begins the intake.

You can sort of see the air box in one of the photos already up, but the photo with the electrics will be up tomorrow.

I like your relay box, nicely laid out!
I take it the 2 top relays, the large fwd & aft one's that is, are the headlight relays?
My eyes are still pretty good, but I can't see any fuses except the 4 on those top 2 relays.

Cheers Shane

Your eyes are correct Shane.
I was going to correct last nights post when I put the photo up this morning, but didn't think anybody would be too concerned lol
There's more relays behind the dash panel in the car, multiple fuses in the wiring harness below the dash/ steering column, and a main fuse box on the driver side front wheel well in the car.

And, as for which relays are for what, I think you're correct, but I'm still working out a lot of the electrics myself, because it was all done when I purchased the car. Some of it still needs completing too, so that's a good chance to figure everything out I suppose

Ha ha ha, cool! I know minis are simplistic in the electrics department, but if anyone gets the chance, updating to relays and a few more fuses takes the headache out of fault finding in the future & makes for better reliability.......depending on what accessories you decide to run!
I'm in the process of rewiring, fusing & relaying my mini along with hooking up a wiper, headlight & indicator stalk assy of a toyota seca, so I'm always up for a good look at other ideas to fine tune mine before final fitment!

Cheers Shane

Well, in that department, mine has a datsun steering column, so has wiper stalk, and indicators and headlights on the same stalk. Also accessories like electric aerial, electric windows (switches and relays are wired, but mechanisms aren't in place yet), a sneaky fuel pump priming push button, and probably more that I can't think of. There were provisions for air conditioning, but I chose to scrap those. I'm pretty sure the heater unit and parts are also out of a datsun too. So, there's a fair bit of extra wiring running through the car compared to the minis I've had in the past
