Yes, same as the motor- 1 colour all over.
The black starter and generator were fitted, then the whole lot got painted on the assembly line, the starter is still black where it faces the block.


I've seen original cars and old photos were they even painted right over the plastic oil filler cap. They would just cover a few bits with covers and just spray the lot. You can see how they did it if you watch the Aust BMC doco "Horses to Horsepower"

Is that the same as the one the doc suggests? Looks more 'green' and I like it.

I used MiniKings mix and sprayed it myself using one of those prevel pressure pack sprayers.

Believe it of not I sprayed the motor while it was installed. Lots of drop sheets and masking tape.
