I stumbled across the site by seeing a heap of minis parked by the light house in Wollongong. My first post read...

Quote:
hi, i only found out about this site the other day when i saw all the minis down at the beach in wollongong, it was great to see that many minis at my local beach. if any body is interested i am in the process of starting an informal mini club in the illawara. its called minis in the gong and we have already had one run, if anybody is interested go to

Was anybody on that run?

Thanks to everybody who works hard to keep ausmini running and to those who contribute to make it great.

Ryan

Wow, I joined at the end of 2005 and felt like the new boy for years. So many people seemed like they were old timers by then. Cush, willy, AWD Moke, BAM and GT whatshisname.

Good times. Thanks Poeee and thanks mods

I'm hardly the most veteran person here, but I have been around since the first year and there has certainly been a lot of memorable crap - particularly in the 'early years' where the vast majority of users were of the younger generation.

Continuous posts of people arguing roundies vs clubbies vs binis, cush and big willys heads constantly being photoshopped onto random images, just about anything Makka came out with, the 'state a fact' thread (660 pages!), having jess, adriane and emmilene around to keep the guys almost in line - those were the days.

And whilst we're reminising - my favourite build thread of all time: Spiro the Moke!

For those playing at home, one of the reasons the build was so epic is because start to finish, over 20 pages of threads, the whole lot only happened in five weeks.

Ok, I'm taking this down having been a few weeks. I'll contact each of you in a sort while to sort the mailing out.

Cheers

Mick
