Matt

I hope the new venture works well for you. Thank you for keeping the legends alive. (I'm talking about the cars and you with your unique skills.)

I'm looking forward to seeing the new workshop.

Con

I went to Jacks by myself once and this has just bought back bad memories....... Jack helped me with what I wanted and then I got out of there as quick as I could, I had seen enough to last me ages and things I never want to see again    . lol...

But if a shop opened would be keen to visit.

yes just a very short stroll from the Murarrie train station :-)

the Mezzanine floor is almost finished, & we`ve been busy building a whole pile of work benches
we even started moving some stuff in :-) just a few bits
the 2 hoists & the enclosed rotary steam cleaner should be in next week
the office is taking shape & the customer waiting room is also looking half-way there

the phone number was supposed to be active yesterday but they said it should be today
i`ll believe that when i see it :-) never fear we are all steam ahead

cheers & thanks for all the encouragement & support

& as for jack wearing no pants, well,,, he`s always been like that & i doubt that will change any time soon :-) But--> he`s going into a nursing home after he gets back from hospital,
he`s broken both his hip joints within the last 5 months & he`s not very well in a whole pile of other depts too, so as soon as we have him settled into the nursing home i`ll let you all know
thanks again
Matt

That's great news! Should be pretty much ready for when i get my first mini! I've set a deadline; before the mini muster i will have a registered, running car. That gives me just over 3 months to raise another 5 grand or so. Not easy at my age and salary.

Best of luck with the new workshop and getting the old man comfortable! I regularly hear stories from the older guys at work about picking up panels from the original mini Mecca back in the glory days!

Looking forward to spending some hard earned mini money in the near future!

Good luck Matt with your new venture and, most importantly, sincere best wishes to Jack. He's been a Mini legend for more years than I care to remember and the big challenge for you is to get those parts numbers into your head - he is absolutely incredible!

Best wishes
Richard

the mezzanine floor is basically finished, just making the hand rails for it all now,
Graham & Brad are currently moving parts in, we are still in the middle of building shelves & benches
The 2x new car hoists are on their way, arriving tomorow
the rotary stream cleaner is ordered & will be a few weeks before delivery
we have a mate (Marky) painting all the walls right now
i`ve been walking up & down the stasirs for the last few days putting boxes & boxes of parts in
The office is nearly sorted
The guys (Kev & Jacob) have been working on dads old computer trying to extract the info
but it may be a lost cause yet, we may have to run around & physically count & log all the info manually
i hope not but it`s looking like it may just have to be that way :-(

anyways, it`s all on the boil & we have the kettle & toaster
& micro-wave oven etc all in there,,, we even have a kitchen sink :-)
