I like that the original Cooper air filters have that adjustable horn to suck air straight off the exhaust header if you wanted it to.
It seems a nice idea, but I haven't ever had to use it yet. Does it actually work in keeping the carb warm?

yes. did that on the 850 when the inside of the windscreen was icing up. never had an issue with the carb.
