What a stunning find and what a stunning car. The profile is almost like a hot rod with that chopped roof effect.

Must have next to no weight over the rears so I wonder why there is a handbrake at all

Mokesta,
No the works car isn't finished although it is coming along steadily. Everything on it takes so damn long when you are doing a concourse car. Throw in a few distractions and your timeline blown out. I try to get something done each week but I'm not prepared to rush it and drop my standards. When finished the car will be as perfect as it can be. This thing is a lot easier. Nothing needs to be show standard, just neat and fast.

You've got quite the collection! I look forward to seeing this finished. Any idea which tracks you said you'll be taking it to? I know you said Group U...

That car is fantastic! Just goes to show you what's still out there if you know where to look. I'm very jealous :)

Will run it in the East Coast Mini Series (which is set to be resurrected next year) Looks like the series will encompass Lakeside in QLD, Wakefield Park at Goulburn and Winton)

The rules for that category insisted on all road equipment including a handbrake.
If it wasn't compulsory it wouldn't have been there.

Who said you need a 300SL or SLS to enjoy gull wing doors! That is a serious chop! Awesome! :-)

Great project. Think you need to get Watto round for a shoot when you are done.

I had the pleasure of seeing this beast this afternoon. You really have to see it in person to appreciate how low it actually is. And how tiny those doors are. Im not sure how you could get in and out gracefully.
Very cool 8)
