These common barrel sets were available up until a few years ago. With a little luck someone will check their inventory against there list of stock and look to making them again ( looks to the UK...)

Hi there,
Take the key for the door lock to Locksmith's Supplies & they'll easily decode it's "FS" number.
The door lock barrel is the hardest one to remove, so change all the other barrels to the same key as the door lock, as the ignition & boot barrels are very easily removed. Locksmiths Supplies carries stock of the tumblers for these barrels.
If Locksmith's Supplies in Melbourne are reluctant to do it (because they are wholesale only), ask them to recommend a good automotive locksmith.
Nelson locksmiths in Clovelly Park Adelaide are good at fixing Mini locks, as they are only a few doors from Minisport...
They keyed all my barrels alike & stamped my keys with the "FS" number.
Because your fuel tank caps are not original (being locking), I'm unsure if you can use the "FS"keys on them.
Hope this helps!

It's not that hard to do yourself. You pull the barrel apart and rearrange and file down the tumblers till level when the new key is fitted.

As above best to modify the boot and ign as they are easier to remove than the door.

Unless the fuel cap is same key type they'll prob need to remain different. I wonder were the genuine BMC ones able to use the same key?

There are Wilmot Breedon locking fuel caps that are able to be keyed alike, they still pop up on ebay occasionally.
I think these might have been the ones sold by BMC as accessories.

I bought 2 black locking fuel caps from John Smidt a few years back to replace 2 similar ones I had on previously.
All 4 had the same key...

It only has one hole

Going on memory here but I think you insert the key that fits and then push a locking pin thru and turn the key and the barrel will then slide out.

....I think. :?

Yes but to withdraw he barrel all the plungers need to line up. In other words you need to pick the lock to get it apart. This is where a locksmith can help.

So these caps can be keyed alike to the door and ignition?

Minisport in South Australia also sell these caps. If you know your key number it might be possible to ask for the matching numbered cap.

Hey, you have the same numbers as keys as me, but only because I don't have twin tanks! My drivers and passenger side doors also have different keys.

Interested to hear the answer too. Can you just change all the barrels?

I believe barrels for the Oz windup door lock are NLA, however John Smidt said a boot lock one can be modified to fit.

Watch the locksmith doesn't bugger your barrels when trying to rekey them. Often they leave tumbler pins out if they have no spares, and somehow they managed to break my boot lock.
Karcraft and Minis Plus have new boot locks cheap, with keys.

And be aware both the boot and door handle must be unlocked before their barrels can be removed.

Would the barrels from these http://www.minispares.com/product/Classic/Body/Doors/Locks/24A1140KIT.aspx?030403&ReturnUrl=/shop/classic/Body/Doors/Locks.aspx|Back%20to%20shop fit an aussie door handle?

They would fit an 850 with sliding window doors.
The Oz windup door handles are stronger and longer. 850 handles were notoriously easy to break.
I bought some UK Mk1 lock barrels in once, but I was told they won't fit our windup door locks.
But as I said, John Smidt says you can modify boot lock barrels to fit. I don't have the details.

Yeah I knew the handles wouldn't fit, but I was wondering if we could use just the barrels but I guess we aren't that lucky :(
