Austin Gipsy (yes the weird spelling is correct!). It was the BMC attempt to capture some of the Land Rover market. Some models had a weird Moulton designed rubber suspension that gave a smooth ride on rough roads and a swaying ride on smooth roads!

Ahh . when i saw it i first thought it was a landrover, then i saw the badge and was abit confused.

Great stuff! Thanks for sharing.

I see that a few cars have been moved around since I was there two years ago. That has to be a good thing! They don't just all sit in the same place forever.

The Gipsy was very pretty rare, they did sell them here but they didn't do very well. At the time LandRover was selling everything they could make so there was an opening for BMC to take some of the market, what they came up with was probably a bit too complex.

What a fantastic collection, there's some amazing treasures in there.

However, I kind of feel sad that they are all caged up and never get driven.
