re: the badge, what if the car is a dark colour, does it clash with the MINI on top of the 2 stripes? just curious as i think my colour is quite dark, and would one suggest doing it a contrasting colour?

i think painting the badge red would look better then body colour on a dark car.

I like angus's idea..mine's polished, i like....but i really want to get it chromed 8) but i don't think the aluminium takes to well to that :(

For JAM i'd go with black and red 'mini' and the two vertical lines on the badge as well..with the badge polished.

nah i reckon match the colour. i tried to do thaton mine but i did a shitty job, i will have to strip it and re-do it. but i managed to find one of my old model paints that very closely matched the colour! which was good.

i reckon, say you had a black or navy blue mini, i reckon the dark lines in the badge would look sweet!!!

i reckon it looks the best with the badge colour matched, and black with chromed bits.

Maybe consider getting the grille anodised, in either black or red.
Cost about $50 though.
Good thing there is it would be 100% covered, since it is dipped in the coating,
not sprayed.
