Still made in the same factory as every other rover mini to leave the line, and they have air-conditioning.

Japanese market did come from same factory correct but as many landed and were modified and developed made up limited editions and many tacky extras

Then we find them in Australia sold by so called experts as a limited edition to find out its a Mayfair with stickers hmm just like a 60's deluxe with S badges

Oh the good old chestnut Factory AC worth every cent, if you want to be weighed down and loss of power

Monte...mate...you seem to have an anger management problem...drmini in aust has more real and solid Mini-related info in his head then you can ever hope to have.

Can I suggest, in the nicest possible way, that you just...well...shut your cakehole  :!:

Note to self:
Ignore all posts about Rovers, good and bad!

[edit] Perhaps I should have said COMMON rust (in s/h UK examples), not `standard rust'.
Japan doesn't salt their roads.

Monte....My goodness, I'm sure it was just a bit of tongue in cheek humour from the good Doc.

I'd go one further and say they are good value for money :D

(even with the downside of the jamb as much crap in where you can under the bonnet just to make servicing difficult!)

I am sure that Japanese examples will come with Japanese rust rather that UK rust, I am not sure rust is an importable aftermarket part. Unless there is something I am missing, much like the Lucus wiring loom smoke.

Hmmmmm...the problem with any rust, is that your asset can depreciate with the deterioration :!:

Poor Monte...we might be being a bit hard on him...especially if it is his Cooper Sport 500 selling :(

Only so many can dream of owning such a elite car

Don't feel sorry for me it lives in my shed and we own it

Just sick of the typical UK rust comments not all were mistreated

Just like saying all mini owners are wally rivet counters there are still a few decent ones out there, some actually drive their cars or have road worthy cars not just keyboard owners :)

The photos are consistent with it being a Japanese spec 1994 Rover Mini Monte Carlo that has been fitted with aftermarket flares and wheels. I believe it is already in Australia and is one that was complied under the old Low Volume Compliance Scheme.
