A couple of questions....

Am I correct to assume the delivery date is the date the car was sold to the first owner ( ie the date entered by the dealer into the owners handbook)

Also, what is the significance of the entries marked in red or orange?

Cheers

I expect there will be a few changes needed to bring the register up to 100% correct. The data needed is from the ID plate but in the past people have given current colours to Watto and Winabbey.

The MK2 register will be a lot harder to ensure correct with colours.

My cars details are also incorrectly recorded.

You had better repaint it snow white with a special burgundy roof then to make it right.

Phillb, the delivery date on mine is the date it was first registered, I have a copy of the original rego papers.

I believe most of the delivery dates are from owners handbooks. Whatever data is submitted is viewed for basic reasonableness, but otherwise the information is assumed to be correct. There isn't a capability to accurately verify all the information so there's a degree of 'faith' involved. There will be anomalies, hence the disclaimer in the intro.

Coloured cells will have an explanation in the adjacent Notes column. It's mostly the same engine number for different cars, or the same car being shown with different Car Numbers. If and when there's an explanation the data will be corrected.

I suppose in most cases it would be more or less same date anyway.

I have just emailed you 14 ID plate photos that will clear up some of the engine number double ups as well as colour changes etc..

That's great, thank you. The hope is that others will contribute information that will assist in rectifying errors and omissions.

Well done to everyone involved in putting this together, it is a great piece of work. Very much looking forward to the Mk 2 S register.

Winabbey, I will also pass on the info I have.

Great to see the support that this register is receiving. It makes all the hard work worth while.

Hi, I have a number of car numbers, engine numbers and other details I have sighted and recorded over the years which are not on the list. Where do
I email them ( and how ) so they can be added to the register? BTW, well done to the people who have put this register together, excellent effort.

Just send me the details in a PM (use the PM button below if you wish).

A lot of people have contributed over a number of years. It's an amalgamation of numerous personal lists so it's a real Mini community effort.

An updated register will be posted from time to time. It will probably be every couple of weeks initially, then less frequently based on changes received.

Some more info to add.
http://topclassicsforsale.com/mini/6940 ... miles.html
YKG2S2 4129 has engine 9FSAY48624, Snow white roof and Lake green body. Trim doesn't look very green either - maybe doeskin.

Version 2 of the register has just been posted. It includes details of an additional 66 cars, plus some cleansing of existing data.

Thank you to all those who contributed. Your forum colleagues appreciate it. :)

I was just looking over the register again and this one caught my attention

ID plate for YKG2S2 901 may or may not need correcting.

Reading this thread viewtopic.php?f=2&t=16869&hilit=901
There was a restamped plate for sale on Ebay. YKG2S2 901 Black car / White roof. Engine number 9FSAY38738.
The seller said that the car was smashed.

Register says car is in NZ as a British racing green with 9FSAY38735.
