My uncle had been negotiating with the guy developing the track to build the track in Perth for about 10 years. He swears that the odds of this guy actually building something are about nil and as yet no ground has been broken that I know of - keep in mind that we should have had our first race months ago.

On the other hand the developer claims to have signed a contract with builders about a month ago. I hope to hell the track goes ahead. It would be a great thing for the whole state, wanneroo racetrack is a dump with execrable access. the odds seem to be about 50/50 at the moment

I have been to Wanneroo for a meeting...thoroughly enjoyed myself....but you are right, sad facilities and one road in and out :(
