There is a lesson to be learned here...

Sometimes, the worst thing you can do with car problems is "replace everything" because

A. you may not fix the problem and

B. you risk putting in even more problems!

I'm disappointed that no one here could be bothered throwing up a picture of a firewall to help a newbie....

dawi...its the little black box in this pic...

the cover just pulls off easily...

carefully remove the glass tubes one at a time,

hold up to the light and see if the fuse is still intact (no guaranty that the fuse is good!)

If not, replace with the correct type and rating (got a Workshop Manual yet??)

Thanks buddy!!! all fuses have been replaced, I have 20amp ones instead of 35 as I bought the wrong ones, but the old ones work anyway haha. I found the inline fuse and have replaced this also, havent tried starting the car again yet.

It genuinely could be this, but I would of thought that the lights still would all come on...

The circuit board sent from minispares is different, it is for the later model cluster instead of the older model

Again... I would of thought something on the cluster would work...

Must not have been that disappointed - You threw up the wrong picture that doesn't help at all.

Lol dude, you've only had it a week or two. I've owned mine for 12 years!

Firstly you may want to start with joining a club, after all that's what clubs are all about, meeting like minded people. Hoping to connect with someone for help randomly online is a bit far fetched and unrealistic expectation.

This is how I got started. I bought my car without even knowing how to drive a manual car! I bought myself a workshop manual (a must, will serve you well for many years). I also bought a mini parts manual from Mini Kingdom (not sure if this is available anymore) which lists all the bits and pieces of the car. It's like a Lego instruction manual but for minis. It's hard to know what the final puzzle looks like without some sort of picture to guide you (or another mini to compare to!).

Do those first and educate yourself before giving these things a go- it's like expecting to know how to build a house without any books or prior education. It's just unrealistic...

I don't want to turn you off working on cars or minis, quite the opposite. Once she's all sorted and works like clockwork then it will be all worthwhile. If an IT geek like me can do it, anyone can!!

Yep.

I spent over an hour last night looking through all my photos for a good photo of the loom and fuse holder but gave up and quoted to the wiring diagram instead.

Yeah mate, I hate mini electrics, always have and always will...

https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/291729534001

Best $46 you'll ever spend on your mini!

Edit: I just consulted mine and there is a clubman wiring diagram in there but whether it is the right one for your car or not I can't be certain

There are 2 clubman diagrams in this thread that will help you make a start. viewtopic.php?f=2&t=81633&p=907843

A lot of the mini manuals use diagrams from the UK and they are not exactly the same as our cars.

There is one here for the 1973-1975 Clubman. A little easier to read with pretty colours. http://media.wix.com/ugd/eda60d_cb0d9ce ... dcc35d.pdf
