Unless you are living in Marble Bar say...pull the choke out when the engine is cold...that's what it is there for :idea: :D

I'm with Simon ,i had the same problem with my mini years ago , was a pig to start when it hadn't been run for a while ,would do exactly as you say yours is doing, ( i run twin SU's ), checked the choke , set it up properly, haven't had an issue since .

SU's love choke , give it full choke :wink: .

Or go a weber /dellorto...one full pump, release then a quarter pedal and the thing starts before I can release the key. The choke will keep it running until it is not as cranky.
